Gem City Metal Technologies has one of the most experienced hand metal spinning departments in the industry, with an average of 15 years of experience. We are capable of spinning parts less than 1” in diameter to as large as 62” in diameter.

Hand metal spinning offers several advantages over CNC spinning. Specifically, hand metal spinning affords quicker set up, which reduces the cost of small production runs. It offers better control of wall thickness and improves overall dimensional stability.

In excess of 95 percent of all tooling is manufactured internally. This allows us to use both spinners and toolmakers to design the best possible tool to manufacture your parts. If tooling requires modification, we can do it internally.

Gem City is one of the few metal spinning companies in the United States that has in-house aluminum annealing and heat-treating. We have more than 20 years of experience in this area, enabling our skilled craftsmen to create more difficult shapes at lower costs as well as meet MIL Standards.
